Evergreen USA | Campground Insurance for Campgrounds and RV Parks

“Dick” Hartford graduated from the University of Maine with a Bachelor’s degree in Business.

In 1973 Richard Hartford began insuring campgrounds and RV Parks as part of his local insurance agency – The Hartford Insurance Agency.  In 1986 when insurance was difficult to find for the outdoor recreation clients he insured he started Evergreen Indemnity, Ltd. with the support of 26 investing campgrounds.  In 1989 he also founded Evergreen USA RRG, Inc.

Today, Richard is the President of Evergreen USA RRG, Inc. and Evergreen Indemnity, Ltd.  Richard is the proud recipient of National ARVC’s highest honor – the Stan Martin Award.  He is also the proud recipient of the Northeast Campground Association's highest honor - The Curtis Fuller Award.
